Bachelor of Arts in Functional English is an under graduate programme designed to equip the students with functional English proficiency at an advanced level in areas such as English literature, linguistics, communication, translation. It is a regular course of three years duration spread over six semesters. The main objective of the BA English course is to enable the students to acquire mastery in the use of the English Language for career advancement or for pursuing higher studies in English and Linguistics.
The admission criterion towards a BA (Functional English) course mandates the candidate to have passed 12th standard with English as a compulsory subject from a recognized board.
