Bachelor of Arts (Rural Development) is a three-year program that prepares students for the understanding of the rural economy, society, policies, and sustainable development. Subjects taught in the curriculum include rural sociology, economics, development policies, management of natural resources, sustainability, cooperatives, panchayati raj system. Students are taught conceptual knowledge and also field practical training to grasp rural scenario and process. The duration of the program is 3 years with 6 semesters in total.
The tests accepted for admission into the BA (Rural Development) program include state or national level tests such as CUCET, TISSNET, IPU CET , OUCET, BHU UET, DUET and other university test. Many colleges and universities also give importance to the score obtained in class 12 board exams for admissions. Some colleges may even have their own admission tests as well.
