Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Medical) is an undergraduate course of 3 years (6 semesters) duration that is for students who wish to join in the medical field of practice or healthcare industry. The course gives high level and in-depth understanding of the concepts such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, genetics, and also offers training in the fields like community medicine, medical ethics, nutrition, microbiology.

The entrance tests that candidates are allowed to sit for to gain admission into the B.Sc Medical course in all medical colleges across India include NEET, NEET UG by National Testing Agency, and state entrance tests. Many of the recognized colleges and universities across the country rely on these exams to award B.Sc admission to worthy candidates on merit, number of seats and reservation quotas.

BSc Medical Course Eligibility 2024

1. A candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology as main subjects and obtained at least 50% marks in the aggregate. 

2. Candidates should have studied English as a subject in their 10+2 examination from any recognized University/Institution. There might be some clauses that specify higher marks for admission through 10+2 in some of the colleges.

3. That is why there is minimum age required which is 17 years but there can be some colleges that require a higher age limit of up to 23 years. 

4. Need to take and pass medical entrance examination such as the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET for a chance to get admission to government college. 

5. As for admission to private colleges, it is obligatory to succeed in a relevant entrance examination in the majority of cases.

6. Need to meet medical fitness standards of medical councils as well as to pass medical tests during admission.
