MBA (Rural Management) is a two years full time post graduate management programme designed for providing students with necessary knowledge and skills for managerial careers in rural businesses and development organisations. The curriculum offers knowledge and insight on the concerns, prospects and realities of rural economies, markets, societies and people. Offerings include agriculture and allied services management, rural banking and microfinance, agri-food value chains, and generic courses in marketing, human resource, information technology, data analytics, and strategy designed for the rural sectors.
The entrance tests accepted for admission into the MBA Rural Management degree programs include CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT and GMAT among other tests set by various colleges and institutes. Institutes might also provide their own tests to qualify for writing and Interviews to check the appropriateness of the candidate for the program.
