IIIT Ranchi - Admission, Courses, Fees & Rankings 2024

IIIT Ranchi is an autonomous Institute in the year 2016 which is under Ministry of Education, Government of India. So far, it has received the approval of AICTE and is also recognized by UGC. NAAC accredited IIIT Ranchi in 2021 at the highest level of Grade A. In the NIRF Rankings released recently the IIIT, Ranchi has been placed in the band 101-150 in the overall rankings of engineering institutes in India.

IIIT Ranchi currently has BTech programs in five disciplines which include Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence and Smart Infrastructure. They also have Master of Technology programmes in Computer Science, Very Large Scale Integration Design, Electronics & Communication and a Master of Business Administration. The admission for the next batch 2024 will be commencing from January, 2024. For admission to a programme of their choice students have to write examinations such as JEE Main, GATE or any other.  

IIIT Ranchi has had a fairly good placement record from the beginning, given that it was established in 2016 for the first batches. Microsoft, Oracle, Texas Instruments, Bosch, L&T Infotech and TCS are known companies that offered jobs to the student in previous years. For the placement session 2021, the highest salary package was 29.6 LPA and the average placement salary was 13.2 LPA. The placement for students was 86 percent of students who got placed in wide ranging areas including software engineering, core engineering, it services and business consulting.

IIIT Ranchi got placements with more than 80 percent of the students getting placed in various reputed technology firms. Prominent soars for placements were TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, L&T Infotech, and Capgemini, etc. The largest recruiting company was American Express offering a highest salary package of 32 LPA for the year while the average salary package offered in the campus recruitment was a respectable average of 13.6 LPA. The leading recruiters were JP Morgan Chase, Sprinklr, Walmart Labs, and Paytm which had hiking package ranging from 10-25 lakh.
