Budge Budge College is the first degree college situated in South 24 Parganas, at Budge Budge in West Bengal. It was establised in 1967 and has obtained necessary recognition from the University of Calcutta and is also NAAC accredited with B++ grade CGPA 2.76. According to the NIRF ranking 2023, Budge Budge College has ranked between 201-250th for colleges in India only.
The science stream consists of subjects such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer, statistic, and physiology. In the arts stream, there are six essential subjects which include Bengali, English, Sanskrit, History, Political Science, and Philosophy, Education being an optional subject as well. Some of the relevant courses under the commerce stream are Accountancy, Management, Marketing and Office Management among others. Budge Budge College Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. B.A. Honours in Bengali – Must have passed the H.S (10+2) or equivalent with minimum 45% marks for the General Category students.
2. B.Sc. Honours in Physics - Aspirant should have passed the Higher Secondary or pass equivalent examination 10+2 with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics with least 45 % marks for General Category candidates.
3. B.Com. Honours Accounting & Finance – Higher Secondary (10+2) examination pass in any stream with at least 50% in aggregate of four best subjects for all candidates.
4. In the B.A. General Program: The applicant must pass the Higher Secondary or 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized University or a recognized Board with at least forty percent marks in toto for the General Category.
