Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) is a private college for engineering education situated in Gandipet, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh now Telangana. CBIT was set in the year 1979 and it is an Affiliate of Osmania University and AICTE Approved. It has been accredited by NAAC and ranked as an ‘A’ grade college. As per NIRF rankings 2023 which was declared recently the CBIT has placed 101st among the engineering colleges in India.
CBIT provides the education of the undergraduate (B.Tech) program in the disciplines of Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. It also impart post graduate courses such as Master of Technology (M.Tech.) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA). The institute runs on the semester basis and end semester examination are in general held in November-December and April-May respectively of each year. The entry into the B.Tech programs depends on the state level ECET exam which is held for students. For MCA, the candidates have to secure themselves through ICET exam. The usual process to apply is during May every year for those who wish to join the university as first years.

Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For admission in engineering such as Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical and Civil, candidate must pass with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ST) in 10+2 or equivalent examination with science subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
2. For lateral entry scheme diploma holders have to score minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in diploma for admission in B.Tech programs as one of the subjects must be Mathematics.
3. For admission in M.Tech programs, candidate must possess B.E/B.Tech degree with reasonable experience in related field.Having passed in the tech degree in the relevant specialization with minimum 50% aggregate marks for Gen and OBC candidates, and 45% for SC/ ST candidates. It is mandatory to have valid GATE score for admission to M.Tech programs The The candidate is eligible to seek admission to M.Tech program and for that the candidate should have a valid GATE score.
4. In facilitating MBA admission, any graduate can apply either as a holder of a first degree or a postgraduate diploma. Applicants who want to apply for the program must have obtained a minimum of 50% total percentage (45% in case of SC/ST) in the bachelor’s degree. The entrance examination score in CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/ICET test is also needed for this purpose.
5. For admission into MCA program, the candidate should have passed the Bachelor’s Degree examination in any Discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects with not less than 50% of marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST category). Priority will be given to the candidates who have qualified in the NIMCET entrance exam.
