The College of Engineering is one of the renowned universities in the engineering course, which was founded in 1948. The college is approved from AICTE New Delhi and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University Belgaum Karnataka. The college has also been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with NAAC Grade A+. The NIRF ranking released recently for the year 2023 ranked the College of Engineering 25 in the list of the best engineering colleges in India.
The college has many programs that include under graduate, post graduate and PhD programs in the fields of engineering. The BTech programs available are Computer science and IT, Electronics and communication, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, AI and machine learning, Robotics and automation. Viva voce and other exams are conducted in the months of November and May 2023 for VTU Students. BTech admission 2024 batch begins from May 2023. The admission to the college and university is possible only if the student comes out successful in COMEDK or KCET. They also include various programs like MTech and MCA in the fields of specialization of the candidates.
