The College of Vocational Studies (CVS) is one of the institutions affiliated to the University of Delhi and focuses on offering vocational education. CVS was set up in 1972, the college has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India and has been bestowed with accreditation grade ‘A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). According to NIRF India Rankings 2023, CVS has been ranked between 101-150 Overall Rank in India Colleges list.
CVS holds undergraduate and postgraduate programs at liberal arts, business, and sciences streams including Management Studies, Applied Life Science, Applied Psychology, Tourism Management, and others. Some of the most popular programs are BMS, MBA, BSc Applied Life sciences, BSc Tourism Management, etc. As for the exams, they usually take place in May, while the admission process is launched in June each year. Applications for admission to sit the 2024 examination begins in June, 2023. Prospective candidates may apply for admission through the University Online Application System.
CVS has a very good placement record with some of the illustrious corporate organizations like Accenture, Amazon, Deloitte, Flipkart etc. paying their visits every season. In the 2021- 22 placement season there were 233 companies who came for offering marketing, finance, HR, IT, operations and many more profiles More than 83% of the 2021-22 batch got placed offering an average package of 5.2 LPA with highest being of 16.5 LPA. Best recruiting companies were KPMG, EY, PWC, Nestle, Federal Bank, Wipro, and other companies. Analyzing the highest salary has increased over the years which reflects the level of vocational education that CVS imparts.

1. As for the admission to the undergraduate programs, the applicants must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50% of the aggregate mark.
2. For postgraduate programs, the applicant must have a first degree in relevant field with average minimum pass of 50% on average from a recognized university.
3. The prerequisite for the diploma programs is the completion of the 10th standard or any other equivalent examination with the minimum 50% of marks.
4. Students falling under the SC, ST or OBC categories are provided with 5% of relaxation on the minimum aggregate percentage required for eligibility.
5. Further cumulatively qualifying criteria based on particular courses offered such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Design, etc. may include the subject offered at +2 level.
6. The candidates who have their final year 10 + 2 or bachelor’s degree examination can apply in the provisional basis only on the basis of marks sheets of other examinations if any.
