CVR College of Engineering is a private engineering college, established in 2000 at Ibrahimpatnam, Telangana, and it is an autonomous college affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad and approved by All India Council for Technical Education. Founded in 2000, it has since become well-known for offering quality engineering programs. As per the NIRF Rankings in 2023, CVR College of Engineering was placed 151 among the total Engineering college in India. The college has been accredited by NAAC and it has secured a grade of A++. The physical facilities and teaching methods employed in the college are excellent.
The college provides the Bachelor of Technology – B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Mechanical Engineering. M.Tech and MCA are offered in Post graduate programmes. The admission process for the next batch passing through the academic year 2024 will begin in April 2023. The entrance exams will be in May-June and web counselling wherein the students will be given the seats based on merit will be held between July and August. Freshmen class shall commence in September 2023 for all aspiring students who wish to take their classes here. End of semester examinations are set and administered in November-December and April-May respectively of the given academic year.

1. For the B.Tech programs, candidates should have completed their 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with at least 60% of aggregate marks in PCM subjects for general category & 50% for SC/ST category.
2. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to MTech programs is BTech/BE or equivalent degree in the respective specialization with 60% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST) and GATE score. A candidate who has appeared for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) will be preferred.
3. For MCA program, candidates should be passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects and should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university securing 60% marks in the optional subjects (50% marks for SC/ST) excluding languages.
4. In case of ME programs, the candidate should have a BTech/BE or equivalent degree in appropriate specialization with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Having passed the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, also known as GATE, is desirable but not mandatory.
5. Aspiring candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in the graduation examination and minimum percentiles in the MBA entrance examination such as CAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/XAT etc.
