Like most engineering colleges, Dhalai District Polytechnic too has ensured great placements in the recent years. Prominent recruiters are L&T Construction, Simplex Infrastructures, NBCC India Limited, BHEL and different state government zones. More than 7/2 of the campus candidates get placed in various companies and organisations during campus interviews. The highest salary package offered in this session was Rs 5.2 lakhs per annum. The average compensation offered in various MNCs ranged between 3 lakhs to 4 lakhs annually. Important sectors that are taking students from Dhalai District Polytechnic include civil engineers, electrical engineers and other IT fields which include software development sectors, networking, and even hardware sectors. The placement rate also seems to be rather low but with the help of industry tie-ups and a proper placement cell, the placement scenario is expected to change for the better in the coming years.
