Dyal Singh College is a well-established constituent college of the University of Delhi totally maintained by the NCT Government. The college was established in the year 1959 and has been accredited with Grade ‘A’ by NAAC in the year 2016. In NIRF India Rankings 2023 Dyai Singh College was ranked at 26 in the category of colleges. At present, it is providing various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in humanities, commerce, and science streams. The college has more than four thousand students and it is located at Lodhi Road, New Delhi and it is spread over sixteen acres.
UG Honours courses include B.A. (Hons) in Economics, English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Sanskrit, Sociology, B.Com (Hons) and B.Sc Honours in Botany, Chemistry, Electronics Mathematics, Physics, Zoology and 11 PG degree programme. Dyal Singh College Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. B.A. (Hons)/B.Com (Hons): Completed at least 10+2 years of education in any relevant stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Aspirants belonging to SC/ST categories are to have at least 40%
2. B.Sc. (Hons) Maths: Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects with minimum sixty percent marks. There is SC/ST candidates relaxation of 5% for the same.
3. B.Sc. (Hons) Electronics/Computer Science: 10+2 with mathematics as one of the subjects and must have secured at least 60% marks. This relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates is critically important.
4. B.A. Programme: Basically the candidate should be a 10+2 pass in any stream with minimum 45% marks. The relaxation of 5% is applicable for the applications submitted by the SC/ST category applicants.
5. M.A./M.Sc./M.Com: Minimum of 50% marks in the bachelor’s degree exam in the specific subject. The ‘Candidate Relaxation’ policy involves a 5% decrease in the cutoff percentage for SC/ST applicants.
