Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) in New Delhi offers a multitude of its engineering and technology programs for its students through the different departments it has established. The department of Computer Science provides the students with B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering which is applicable on the basis of passing class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Which entrance exams are considered: JEE Mains, UPSEE etc. Electrical engineering is offering B.Tech in electrical engineering and for admission, the candidates need to qualify JEE Mains, UPSEE. Mechanical engineering which provides B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with specializations in automobile, industrial and production and thermal engineering accepts JEE mains, UPSEE among other state level entrance exams. GTBIT provides education in B.Tech and M.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical and Automobile Engineering, Civil and Chemical Engineering. Some of the essential entrance tests are JEE Mains for B.Tech entrance test which will commence in February 2023 and GATE 2023 for M.Tech entrance test will also be in February 2023, while the UPSEE 2023 entrance test will be in April 2023. It includes clearing offered national/state level entrance examination, counseling based on scores secured in entrance test, branch/institute choices filled by the students and finally allotment of seat based on merit and availability. Acceptance of scores of other standard tests conducted for management courses like CAT, MAT and XAT is allowed. In the programs of sciences offered by Department of Applied Sciences, 12th Science qualification is essential along with subjects like B.Sc Physics, Chemistry, Maths etc The scores obtained in 12th are also necessary for various programs and other national/state Level Entrance Tests.
To cater the admission in the year 2024, GTBIT is providing a wide range of Under Graduate & Post Graduate programs in Engineering, Information Technology, Natural Science, Management Studies, Pharmacy, Design, Architecture, Applied Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciencesetc. National level tests that are required as per disciplines and courses include JEE Main, GATE, CAT, MAT, CEED, UCEED, CLAT, LSAT, UPSEE, JEECUP, IP University CET, DUET and other state level examinations. CEED & UCEED for 2024 admissions in the first week of January, JEE Main January and April session, MET/NMIMS NPAT in the first week of February, IP University CET in the first week of April, UPSEE the last week of April, COMEDK in the 1st week of May. However, the application forms for several entrance tests along with GTBIT courses will be available in the period of September - November 2023. - The admissions are done and the candidate’s score on the JEE Main is considered for this purpose. Coming to the eligibility criterion, the candidate applying for this program should have a valid JEE Main score.
- To seek admission into the 4-year B.Tech programme, the candidates should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects and one of the chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical vocational subjects.
- The candidates belonging to general category must have obtained at least 75% aggregate in 10+2 while the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories should have secured at least 65% aggregate marks.
- The process of selecting these students is through the percentile score in the JEE Main merit list. The higher the percentile score, the better the candidate’s chances of being selected for an interview.
- Apart from the JEE scores, GTBIT has its own standards of admission, which include the requisite qualifications and the minimum marks a student needs to obtain in order to be admitted into the institution.
- Candidates will be informed through sms or email and they will be required to bring certain documents for validation during counseling session to secure a provisional admission.

2. Choose the ‘B.Tech’ program and register on the particular admission portal. In the first step, complete your personal and academic information.
3. Select your preferred B.Tech discipline of choice example Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communications, Mechanical Engineering etc.
4. Applicants may deposit their application fee online or through Demand Draft. The cost is roughly at Rs 1000 per person although it may slightly vary depending on the particular restaurant.
5. The candidate should upload scanned copies of 10th and 12th standard certificates and mark sheets and passport size photograph.
6. Complete the online application form by providing valid information and submitting it before the application deadline. Check whether all required documents are included.
7. If you satisfy these conditions, you will be invited to sit for GTBIT’s entrance exam which is referred to as GTBITAT. To take the exam, you should study for the test and sit for the test on the appointed day.
8. Sometimes, the institutes declare the list of qualifiers when you can check your selection status.
9. If you are offered GTBIT, you need to finalize its admission formalities by providing any outstanding documents, paying admission fees, and affirming your admission.
- It has smart classrooms, laboratories, library, sports facilities, transportation, hostel, and cafeterias: Admission is done through the ranks obtained in JEE Main. Firstly, for admission in NITs, the candidates have to qualify the JEE Main examination.
- In order to take admission in B. Tech. in GTBIT Delhi, candidates have to clear JEE Main and have to apply separately to the college with their score cards of JEE Main.
- The admission process of the institute is JEE Main scores based, that is, the All India Rank in JEE Main determines the admission of students. Rank Lists are declared displaying opening and closing ranks under various categories.
- Apart from the ranks obtained in JEE Main, the percentage of marks in 12th standard is also considered to assess the qualification, merit. General eligibility criteria include at least 60% or equivalent grades in 12th boards.
- There are quota of seats – All India Seats for which admissions are based purely on JEE ranks, Delhi Region Seats which are for candidates from Delhi and they get admission through their ranks and some other criteria, Management Quota Seats, etc.
- Counselling takes place on the basis of results of JEE Main and the candidates are offered admission in the preferred branch or quota in descending order of rank according to availability.
