Inderprastha Engineering College is a private engg college, located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. IEC was founded in 2000 & it is approved by AICTE, Lucknow and it offers the course under the umbrella of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. It has got the accreditation of NAAC and as per latest NAAC certification received in the year 2016 the college holds ‘A’ grade. According to NIRF rankings of the year 2023 IEC is placed in 151 position amongst the engineering colleges in India. The new campus is expanded over 8 acres and aims at achieving excellence in academics and co-curricular activities for more than 1800 students studying in different faculties.

IEC has an undergraduate level B.Tech programme with Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Information Technology with a duration of 4 years respectively as well as post graduate level M.Tech programme in Digital Communication, Power Electronics and Machine Design for 2 years. These include the UPSEE and other state level entrance tests while the final admission is by centralised counselling. The exams are mostly carried out in the period of April to June every year while the new academic session starts from the 3 rd week of August. The pass percentage for minimum eligibility is Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have obtained minimum 45% marks in aggregate. Admission is done through online registration, choice filling and allotment of seats as provided by the university rules & regulations followed by document verification.

Inderprastha Engineering College Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. BTech Computer Science Engineering: Should have completed 10+2 or its equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics streams with an aggregate of 60% marks or above. Must have valid score card of JEE Main. There is a restriction in the age of the candidates; the candidate should be of 21 years and above. The number of the seats is 120, and 50% of the seats are available to the state quota.

2. BTech Electronics & Communication Engineering: A candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with physics, chemistry, and mathematics as subjects and should have secured not less than 55% of marks in aggregate. The field requires passing JEE Main examination score qualification. Females receive 20% of the total seats of the recruitment process of the organization. The total intake capacity for the course for students is 180 only. 

3. BTech Mechanical Engineering: Passed 10 + 2 examination in PCM with 50% or more marks as a minimum. Should be a bona fide student valid JEE Main rank. 15% of the total seats in every Professionally Affiliated Course, shall be in the following category. It is noted that the total seats available for all categories of students are 150.

4. BTech Civil Engineering: A candidate passed in 10+2 examination with mathematics, physics and chemistry as optional subjects and secured 45% marks in aggregate. Passing JEE Main is compulsory and the score is relevant and essential to gain admission into the university. 5% of the total number of seats in each course is kept for the physically handicapped only. Intake capacity is 120 seats The college provides specializations in Anatomy, Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Pharmacology.

5. BTech Biotechnology: 10+2 exam in PCM/PCB with 50% marks in the respective stream. Should have passed any national level entrance test in the first attempt. Total number of seats for the course is sixty including, thirty percent are reserved for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Inderprastha Engineering College known as IEC is a private technical college that provides undergraduate and postgraduate course in engineering fields. The 4-year BTech is provided in Computer Science and IT, Electronics and Communications and IT, Electrical and Electronics and IT, Mechanical and IT, and Civil IT.
