IEM is a dynamic engineering and management institute located at Kolkata in West Bengal, India. Incepted in 1989, IEM is a technical institution affiliated to AICTE and is accredited by NAAC with ‘B++’ grade. Enjoying a good reputation for its academic standards and research achievements, IEM has been occupying the top 100 positions of engineering institutes in India based on the NIRF rankings for the past years. According to the NIRF 2023 rankings, the institute is ranked #87 for all the engineering colleges in the nation.
IEM has a variety of courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels of studies and in a number of fields of specialization including Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and various management courses. The registration for the institutes for the 2024 batch is expected to start from January 2023. IEM administers entrance exam for its students and then another session of counselling for the provisional admission. The application for the entrance exam of IEM is open and the last date to apply for the same is 31.03.2023. They sit for semester examinations twice a year and these are the examination held in December and May.

1. They have completed their 10 plus two examination from any stream in any of the recognized Central/State boards of India or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% of marks.
