IET is one of the leading engineering colleges in Northern India and is situated in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. IET was set up in 1998 and has been approved by AICTE and is associated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. The University has been accredited by NAAC and it is ‘A+’ accredited with a CGPA of 3.52 out of 4. According to the NIRF rankings released for the year 2023, IET has occupied 75th position in the list of best engineering colleges of India.
IET provides undergraduate programs as B.Tech in all major disciplines of engineering like computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical and automobile engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, etc. The institute is affiliated to the AKTU and the students follow the university’s academic calendar. IET accepts applications for the admission of the 2024 batch through the official website and through the state level counseling conducted by AKTU from mid- April to mid-June. Institute of Engineering and Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream Science/Commerce/Arts) with at least 60 % of marks in the last Qualifying examination.
2. For B.Tech programs they should have 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For other programs, only subjects that are related to the particular program being applied for are required.
3. Other additional qualification candidates those who want to appear for 10+2 examination also have an option to apply for provisional basis also requires first division or 60% aggregate marks memo at counseling.
4. Entrance tests score valid, JEE Main, GATE, CAT or institute specified test depending on the program applied by the candidate is required.
5. The percentages and standards applicable in this case are slightly relaxed by 5% for the candidates from the reserved categories as per the government policy.
