The International School of Business & Media (ISBM) at Kolkata is a leading institute that provides a number of course in the fields of business administration, mass communication, advertising, public relation, event management, Digital film making and many others. The percentage required in 10+2 from a recognized board comprising of West Bengal Higher Secondary, CBSE, ISC or approved Diploma is 50% to get through for the BBA programme. The integrated BBA + MBA program is fully based on the 10+2 exams and the candidate needs to secure 60% marks in these examinations. For BA in journalism and mass comm, the applicants should have passed higher secondary in any stream, in any group but they should have secured minimum 50% marks. ISBM accepts scores from entrance tests like WBJEE, JEE Mains, CAT, MAT, ATMA,XAT and other tests depending on the course the candidate is seeking an admission in. The BA in Digital Film Making and VFX clear base have 50 percent eligibility criteria in 10+2 exams regardless of the stream the applicant has completed.
ISBM has over 15 undergraduate and postgraduate programs In total the university offers undergraduate programs in business and management sciences, postgraduate programs in business and management sciences, advanced diploma in supply chain management, diploma in business management, diploma in supply chain management, and diploma in information technology. For the session 2024, the MAT exam has been scheduled for February 4, CAT exam date is still awaited, WBJEE for April 30, 2024, ATMA exam will be conducted from February 25 to March 1, 2024, XAT will be held on January 8, 2024 whereas NPAT exam date will be from October 1, 2023 to December 31, Regarding its admission process, the ISBM allows the direct application or registration for particular entrance exam based on the program of the applicant. The candidates who have made it to the shortlist need to take a group discussion and personal interview at the ISBM. Out of them, the most deserving candidates will be offered the final call for joining the institute based on the merit, examination results, previous academic performance and experience in the interview. ISBM also deems achievements in national/international levels in sports, arts or public service as other admission requirements in competitive courses. The admitted students can secure their place by paying fees for their tuition.
