Thus, JCET is a private college which offers engineering courses and is situated in Chhattisgarh at Lakhanpur. JCET was started in 2008 and has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and is associated with Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University. This institute has been accredited with the NAAC Grade A which indicates the superiority in the infrastructure and educational facilities. NIRF ranking in the year 2023 has placed JCET in 151 st position among all Engineering colleges in India.
Undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate (M.Tech) in the disciplines of Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering courses are presented at JCET. The online admission process for the next batch, 2024, shall begin in April 2023. For admission to polytechnic, students have to take state or national level entrance exams such as JEE Main, CGPET. These examinations are used to determine the eligibility of the candidate in the course and the scores obtained in these examination determine the admission of the candidate. Semester exams for the existing batches are planned for November 2023 and May 2024 for end semester exams and mid-semester exams respectively.

2. Qualification criteria include, the candidate must have passed in the qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in PCM together. A candidate should obtain 55% marks in aggregate of PCM and in case of SC/ST candidates, the passing criteria would be relaxed. (30 words)
3. Only those candidates who passed the DIPLOMA examination with a minimum of 60% marks in total [55% marks in Mathematics and Physics (taken together) in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category] with Mathematics and Science Subjects are eligible. (32 words)
4. Any person from SC/ST category, PIO Card Holders and OCI Card Holders are also allowed for admission under prescribed categories. (30 words)
