Kashi institute of Technology or KIT is a private engineering college currently situated in Varanasi in the state of Uttar Pradesh. KIT is an AICTE approved college and is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow and was set up in the year 2011. KIT has acquired NAAC Grade A certification which proves the adequacy and excellence of the infrastructure and education system of the college. According to the NIRF Rankings for the year 2023, KIT holds the 151st position out of all the engineering colleges in India.
It has the ability to extend its degree programs in many fields of engineering and technology such as Computer Science and Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. The institute has the curriculum and examination schedule prepared by AKTU and generally examinations are conducted on semester basis, the examinations are held in November and April respectively. BTech programs are offered based on the students’ performance in either state’s UPSEE or national level JEE Mains examination. Intakes are in January for the academic session that begins in July each year.
