The Kingston Educational Institute Kolkata provides a number of courses to learners in the sciences, business, arts, and more. For BSc degrees in some specific fields such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc student should have minimum 50% marks in class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. For BA in subjects like Economics , English , History , students need 50 % in class 12th from any stream. For BCom, one requires at least 50 percent in class 12th with no specific stream required. Science stream entrance exams such as WBJEE,WBJEE, JEE Main are considered valid for science courses while exams like CUCET, state level exams are considered valid for arts commerce and other Courses.

Admission process begins in May every year. There are several admission procedures that students have to complete, such as submitting an online application form and taking an entrance examination depending on the program that the student wishes to pursue. Undergraduate admission is through class twelfth performance and entrance test while post undergraduate admission is through graduation performance as well as entrance test.

Choose the course of your interest and then complete the online application process taking extra care. Similar to the previous step, scanned copy of photographs, signature, age proof, qualifying examination mark sheet etc., according to the size as prescribed should be uploaded. It is preferred that the application fee should be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking. A copy of the completed form should be taken for further use in the course of the event.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
- The entry mode is given by the KEI Admission Test (KEIAT) administered by the institute following the submission of the qualifying documents. This is one type of test under the aptitude category which is specifically on written tests.
- Apart from the KEIAT performance, The 12th standard marks are also considered while preparing the merit lists. Here also, some weightage is provided to the marks scored in 12th standard.
- The state merit list is prepared for the candidates belonging to the General category as well as SC, ST, OBC, PWD etc.
- Students are required to key in and enter their names for the test and counselling sessions. This means that, only candidates who have registered for the exam will be allowed to sit the exam.
- Of course, during the counselling, candidates have to pay the counselling fees and also bring all their academic & personal documents for the verification.
- According to the counselling and admission procedure, the candidate is assigned a particular seat depending on his/her score obtained in KEIAT test, documents, his favoured course/branch and availability of seats.
- In addition those selected are required to pay for the admission fees and signify their acceptance of the offer by tendering the other necessary documents on or before the specified date. Failure in these can lead to cancellation of admission.

4. Upload documents – mark sheets of 10th and 12th class, photographs
5. Paying a fee, the form can be submitted online or offline.
6. Wait for the entrance exam date if there is any.
7. Take the test if called/invited for an interview if one is selected
