Kristu Jayanti College is a first grade autonomous college established in the year 1999, which is located in Bangalore, Karnataka and affiliated to Bangalore University. It was established in 1999, working under the St. Joseph’s Educational Society and approved by the University Grants Commission UGC. The college has got the NAAC re-accreditation with ‘A’ grade in the year of 2020-21. According to the NIRF Rankings 2023 that has been released recently, the college has secured the rank of 41 in the college category in India. 

The college provides all its programmes at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level in streams that include Arts, Science, Commerce, Management and Computer Applications. Some common degree courses are BCom, BBA, BCA and BSc specializations like Biotechnology, Microbiology, Computer Science, MSc Microbiology and Biochemistry. The admission process begins in April each year and is through an online application that can be obtained from this website. Some of the programmes require students to take entrance exams in the May-June period. New session for classes starts at the beginning of the academic year, in August. End semester exams are conducted according to the norms of Bangalore University during the semester every time.

Kristu Jayanti College was established in the year 1999 and offers excellent placement for students for companies such as Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, IBM, TCS and many more. In terms of the salary offered in the placement drive that happened during the academic year 2021-22, the highest salary package offered was Rs. 32,00,000/- PA and the average salary offered for the batch was Rs. 6,20,000/- PA. The recruiters’ response was overwhelming and the overall conversion rate for eligible students exceeded 85 percent of the candidates placed in the top companies. There are several industries which are major employers and they include; Information Technology / Software Industry, Banking & Finance Industry, Consulting Industry, Retail Industry and the Pharma Industry. Kristu Jayanti College Bangalore Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. At least 50% of marks in 10+2 or equivalent exam and the candidate must have passed the exam. It should be noted that there are differences in the requirements for the selection of subjects depending on the program – PCM/PCB subjects are necessary for science programs.

2. Students passing the state/ CBSE boards need a pass of 45% for BCom while the ones from ICSE/ISC must get at least 40%. To get 45% from any board Arts & humanities programs.  

3. Programmes like BBA and BCA admit students from any stream but the students should have studied Mathematics/ Business Math /Computer Science /Statistics /any computer related subject.

4. The admission to PG programs like MBA/MCA etc. depends upon the bachelor’s degree of the candidate with not less than 50% aggregate. Work experience may also be required for MBA course as mentioned earlier in the case of some institutions.  

5. For admission to the MPhil & PhD research programs, it is necessary to have a postgraduate degree which must have been passed with minimum 55% aggregate marks. There could be a written aptitude test and an interview that would be mandatory to complete.
