MBCET is an Engineering College situated at Kuttikanam in Kerala and it is one of the leading engineering colleges in the state. MBCET was set up in the year 2002 and it is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education and it is an affiliated college of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. The college has been accredited with NAAC Grade A where it got a CGPA of 3.3. As per NIRF Ranking 2023 released by Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, MBCET stands 81st among the top 100 engineering colleges in India.
MBCET has a total of 6 engineering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in streams that include Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Civil, mechanical. All courses are run under the semester calendar and exams are conducted in December and May each year. The admission to BTech programmes are through state level entrance test known as KEAM and then through centralised counselling. Similarly, the admission to M.Tech programme also takes place through an entrance test. It is believed that the process of application for the academic year 2024/2025 will commence in March 2024.
