Maturi Venkata Subba Rao Engineering College (MVR College) is the private engineering college situated in Paritala of the Andhra Pradesh state in India. It was set up in the year 2008 and is recognized by AICTE and is an affiliated college of JNTUK Kakinada. MVR College has NAAC recognition and it has been awarded with B ++ grade which means that it is of good quality. For the 2023 NIRF rankings MVR College has been ranked 151 among the colleges of engineering in India.
The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of engineering and technology in various fields of specialization. 1. Applicants must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects obtaining not less than 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ ST/ backward classes).
2. For B.Tech program one must have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent and must have a valid rank in JEE Main or the state level entrance examination. Rank secured will be used for admission as per the merit of the rank.
3. For admission into M.Tech program, one has to complete B.E/B.Tech degree program of any branch from a recognized university.Tech or its equivalent examination in the appropriate stream with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% reserved category). It is always preferable if the candidates cleared the GATE exam.
4. MBA can be pursued by graduates in any discipline for admission to MBA programs. It is noted that candidates will be selected on basis of their performance in the entrance test only. Work experience will be given priority because of the additional weightage that will be assigned to it.
5. For MCA admission candidates need to have 10+2+3 pattern of education with maths in 10 + 2 level or graduation having minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
6. Similar to the reservation in seats, the relaxations in cut-off percentages will be in accordance with the government norms for the candidates of reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, etc.
