Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) is a self financed engineering college present in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India particularly in Meerut city. The MIET was established in the year 1997 and is approved by AICTE and is an affiliated institution of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. The institute is an ISO 9001:2015 certified institute and has been accredited by NBA with Grade A and has been accredited by NAAC with Grade A In the recently released NIRF rankings 2023, the MIET has ranked 151 among all the Engineering institutions in India.
It has been established to provide under graduate and post graduate courses in all the branches of engineering and technology such as computer science engineering, information technology, electronics & communication engineering, electrical & electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering. B.Tech program is a four-year program and the admissions are based on the state level counseling with regard to UPSEE / JEE Mains Score. UPSEE 2023 examination will be conducted between April 23rd- April 27th while JEE Mains 2023 first attempt is likely to be conducted between Jan 24th- Jan 31st both dates included. The admission to M.Tech is done through GATE/UPSEE for the particular stream of study and for the BBA, BCA, MBA courses the admissions are done on the basis of the percentage of the marks secured in the qualifying examination. It is common for admission processes to commence around May every year for the next academic year’s freshmen, known as the batch of 2024 in this context.

Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For the B Tech programs, the candidates should have completed their 12th standard examination in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematical Science and must have obtained an aggregate of 60% of marks.
2. For MTech programs, the candidates should have a BTech/BE degree in the concerned branch of engineering and should have secured at least 60 percent marks in aggregate. Preferably candidates who have qualified GATE examination.
3. For MCA program, candidates must be graduation with Mathematics as one of the subject and should have minimum 60 percent marks in the aggregate.
4. For MBA program, candidates have passed and must be passing their bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks. Employers prefer individuals with work experience in a similar field of study or a related organization.
5. For admission in BPharm program, the Candidates should pass the Class 12th examination and must have the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics and minimum 60% of marks in the aggregate.
6. For diploma programs, the candidate shall have passed the class X examination with Mathematics, Science and English subjects and have secured an aggregate of 60% marks.
