The college is located in Bangalore, Karnataka and is autonomous in nature and is known as MVJ College of Engineering. To be more specific, MVJCE is an engineering college that provides both undergraduate and post graduate courses.

1. Candidates should have passed 10+2/Intermediate examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects and must have obtained minimum 45% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates.
2. The admission criteria for B.Tech programs includes the candidate’s performance in COMEDK or KCET entrance examination and the candidate should have secured the cut-off ranking fixed by the college. Ranking is achieved through the entrance exam to determine who gets to join the institution.
3. For M.Tech programs, candidates should possess B.E/B.Tech from a recognized university or any other qualification considered equivalent.A recognized degree in the technology field of the same specialization as the candidate plans to practice with an average cumulative grade of 50%. There is a priority given to candidates who qualify in GATE.
4. For MBA program, the candidate should be a graduate from any stream with minimum 50% total marks. The candidates are required to clear an entrance test like KMAT/CMAT and are also supposed to face GD & PI rounds.
5. For admission in MCA program, candidate must have passed the bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in any stream with Mathematics as one of the subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Appearances in an entrance test are mandatory and passings are only accepted after having met the minimum requirements set by the authorities.
6. All existing SC/ST/OBC quotas as prescribed by the Karnataka Government norms are also followed for reservations. The differently abled have 5% reservation in campuses. Also, 10% EWS reservations for the seats are still present.
