NSS Hindu College Changanacherry is an educational institution that provides different under graduation and post graduation courses in the field of science, commerce and humanities. It has an ability of offering BSc in subjects such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, botany, zoology and computer science, students are supposed to present their 12th grade qualification certificate and must have a 50% pass mark in science subjects. For BA in subjects like Economics, English Literature, Political Science, Sociology - students should have cleared there 12th standard with minimum 45% marks from any stream. The BCom program has very low entry standards, as it only requires 12th grade pass in any stream with minimum 45% marks. There are some exams such as KEAM/NEET for students to be admitted into science courses while others include CUET/KMAT/CMAT for other courses admission.
The undergraduate programs offered across streams are BSc Physics/Chemistry/ Botany /Zoology Mathematics/Computer Science, BCom Commerce/Taxation/Computer Application and B.A English Literature/Political Science/Economies/Sociology. The admission process for the academic session 2024-25 begins in the May-2023 the national level entrance test for the UG courses is CUET; which will be conducted in the first week of May 2023 for the courses like BA, BSc, BCom etc. Entrance examination like KMAT & CMAT for the admissions in postgraduate will also conducted in May 2023. Online Application forms for admission to the UG/PG courses for the academic year 2023-24 will be available from June 2023 on the college website and the classes for the respective courses will commence from 2nd week of July 2023. These candidates are selected based on the marks in entrance exams, 12th standard marks, group discussion, and the personal interview round conducted by the college.
The admission can be pursued through an online application form which is stated to be available on the college website http://www. nsshinducollege.ac.in only during the periods of the respective notification. To apply online, the candidate must go to the admission section and choose the preferred program of study and follow the instructions in the application form and upload the scanned copies of the documents required as indicated. An application fee can be paid through online mode of payment.
Admission also offered offline where student can pick up the application form from the administrative office of the college and they need to pay some amount. Original forms and the certified copies of the documents and an application fee must be deposited in the office within the required time. This school enrols students on merit basis and depending on numbers of vacancies available for admission. Selection lists are also found in the website and the notice board as well. Candidates who have been selected will be interviewed and then required to present their certificates for verification with provisional admission offered to those selected.
