Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Medical College is one of the most renowned and oldest medical colleges situated in Rajkot, Gujarat. It came into existence in 1972 and is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and it is NAAC accredited, holds B++ grade. In the latest NIRF rankings that were released in the year 2023, the college stands 65 for all the Medical colleges in India.
In terms of medical courses offered by this college, it provides many programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. MBBS is a course of 5.5 years and the college takes an intake of 150 students per annum on the basis of NEET. The timetable for intakes of the 2024 cohort will begin in October 2023. Other key programmes are the programmes leading to MD, MS and diploma courses in over 30 specializations. In line with the university policy, exams are administered in May and November. The college also has the provision for the super specialty courses in medical fields of cardiology, neurology and others.
