Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT), Bangalore is one of the leading engineering colleges in Karnataka, and it comes under the umbrella of autonomous colleges under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. RIT is a self-financing institution founded in 1962 and is approved by the AICTE New Delhi and accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade. RIT provides 4-year B.E degree courses in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering Telecommunication Engineering, Chemical Engineering Industrial Production & Engineering, Architecture, Biotechnology and Medical Electronics. The entrance exams will start from April 2024 for admissions for batch of 2024-25. The candidate can get admission to B.Tech through KCET, COMEDK or Management seat if they are interested in pursuing it. RIT also has 2 year Master of Technology M.Tech program in Structures and Environment, VLSI Design and Computer Science, Thermal Power and Industrial Engineering Streams.
The placement and internship activities at RIT are especially quite good. Huge no. of Campus Interviews are arranged every year with over 300 companies and reputed brands such as Microsoft, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Dell, HP, Samsung etc. Placement statistics reveal that 90% of the eligible students find employment in reputed firms while the highest salary offers reach up to 40 LPA.
