Santhiram Medical College & General Hospital is one of the premier medical colleges run in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 2005 and is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), and is accredited by NAAC with a rating of B++. According to the NIRF medical college ranking of India, for the year 2023, Santhiram Medical College has been ranked 37 of India.
The college teaches and awards medical degrees such as MBBS, MD, MS, diploma, and super specialty in many areas. MBBS is a three and half year course out of which 1 year is a compulsory internship period. The admission process for the new academic year for the MBBS batch of 2024 will start from November, 2023. The students have to write the NEET and secure minimum passing marks there after they could opt for the counselling and then the seat allotments will be made based on the NEET rank, choice and availability. The college also impart postgraduate medical degrees MD in Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology and other super specialities, MS in ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedics etc. For entrance in MD/MS courses, the National Board of Examinations conducts NEET-PG.
