Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT) Mumbai is one of the most premier engineering colleges in the country that provides Under graduate courses and Post graduate courses in different fields. These are the programmes: Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications, Mechanical, and Civil. For these BTech programs, the basic qualification required is 12th standard, with theminimum 50% marks in PCM subjects for Non-Reserved categories, and 45% for Reserved categories. Apart from the entrance test, students have to also clear other examinations like MHT CET, JEE Main or MHT CET for admission. MTech programs that can be studied are in fields such as computer engineering, information technology, VLSI & Embedded system, and Construction management. For MTech programs, the candidate must have passed the BTech/BE degree in the relevant branches with not less than 50 % aggregate. It is worth noting that M Tech admissions emphasize on the GATE qualified candidates.
SPIT currently offers the following programs as its area of specialization: B.Tech in CA, IT, ET, Mechanical, Civil, M.Tech in CE, IT, VLSI & embedded system, Construction Mgmt, MCA, and MBA. There are key examination dates for admission such as MHT CET date which is 23 May 2023, GATE 2023 date is 4, 5, 11 & 12 February and JEE Main 2023 session 1 examination is in the last week of January. The admission program includes qualifying any one of these exams, applying for admission, submission of documents, filling in the option form, and the seat allotment based on merit and the options. The academic session for 2024 will start in July /August 2023 it will happen after completion of admission process counseling ofstudents who have qualified 10+2 examination.
