Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT) is a self financing private engineering college situated at the outskirts of the city of Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra. SPIT is a AICTE approved and NAAC accredited college with ‘A’ grade. According to the NIRF rankings 2023 for engineering colleges, SPIT was ranked 91st out of all engineering colleges in India. The institute provides diverse courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level in Engineering, Technology, and Management.
SPIT provides B.Tech in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication, Mechanical and Civil engineering. At the postgraduate level, it offers M.Tech degrees in Computer Engineering, Information Technology Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Mechanical Engineering (Heat Power), & Civil Engineering (Construction Management). It is important to note that the admission process for the batch of 2024 will be conducted in the month of May in the year 2023. SPIT has a separate test known as SPIT MET for B. Tech admission while the M. Tech courses have direct admission for students who qualified in GATE test. The last date of application is mostly in the first week of June. There are two examination sessions during every year, one being in November and December and the other in April and May each year.
