Satyawati College is one of the most premier constituent college in the University of Delhi and was established in the year 1972. As a university under the University Grants Commission Act of 1956, the university is accredited Grade ‘A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council or NAAC and is ranked 53 among universities in India according to the National Institutional Ranking Framework or NIRF 2023. Located in the capital of India, Delhi; the college has a campus area of 10 acres of greenery; it has 9 under graduate honours courses with commerce, arts and science stream along with 16 other courses.
Honors degree courses that are offered by the college are as follows: B.A. Honours: in Economics, English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Sanskrit, B.Com. : Degrees awarded include Honours in Accounting and Business Studies; B.Sc. In Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Zoology Honours arts, Science and Social Sciences. However, the admission process begins in May each year, and the exams usually take place in March or April. At present the college caters over 4000 full time students of a young and active generation thus academically very productive environment. The faculty members are well qualified with experience in their areas of teaching and have taught many courses.

1. For B.A. programmes, the candidates must have done their 12th standard examination in any group from a recognized board of education with a minimum of 50% of marks. Employment is open to all ages but not for those who are below 21 years of age.
2. For admission to B.Com programme in the regular mode the candidate should have passed class 12th examination with a minimum of 45% marks of any stream. The candidate should not be more than the age of 21.
3. For admission in honors degree programs such as English, Economics, Hindi, History, Maths, the aplication must have minimum 65% in their 12th for the relevant subject or 60% for the program.
4. For getting admission in B.Sc in subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Botany, aspirant must have passed 12th standard examination with not less than 55 % marks in Science stream from any recognized board.
5. In general, for postgraduate programs the candidates must possess a bachelor degree in the respective subjects with minimum 45-50% marks from a UGC identified institution for the admission procedure.
