Established in 1996, Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science, Indore (SGIST) is one of the prominent autonomous institute in Madhya Pradesh. It was set up in 1952 and is an NBA and NAAC accredited engineering college situated in Bhopal and affiliated to RGPV University. SGIST is an AICTE approved Institute for Technical Education. According to the NIRF rankings released few days ago, SGIST has been ranked 151 among engineering colleges in india.
It provides basic and post basic courses in different fields of study at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Namely Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering are the BTech courses offered to the students. These four-year programs are mainly offered at the state and/or national levels and the admission is based on entrance examinations. Jan-February JEE Main and May-June MP PET are the significant dates for admission to the BTech 2024 session. At postgraduate level, SGIST offers MTech and MCA as its program options. Admissions include taking exams, which are followed by a counseling session.

Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. BTech: Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Maths from any recognized Central/State Board; minimum 60% for General Category.
2. MTech: BE/BTech in relevant branch with minimum 60% in aggregate for GEN category.
