St Joseph’s College is a self-financed first grade college under the department of collegiate education Bangalore, Karnataka and it is managed by the brothers of Christian brethren. It was founded in 1882 and is one of the oldest colleges in the state of West Bengal as well as recognized by UGC. St Joseph’s College of Commerce has got A++ NAAC accreditation and got 3.79 out of 4 in the year 2022. It is as follows: NIRF India Rankings 2022 of the college is 39 in terms of all the colleges present in India.
The college provides undergraduate and postgraduate level programs such as Bachelor in Arts (B.A.), Bachelor in Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Master of Arts (M.A.), Master of Science (M.Sc) and Master of Commerce (M.Com). The admission process commences from March every year through an online registration form on the college website. St Joseph's College Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Must have cleared 10+2 (or equivalent) examination in Science/ Commerce/ Arts stream with minimum 50% average score, based on the program of study.
2. For BCom program, candidates should have passed 10+2 with commerce and accountancy as mandatory subjects. For BSc, courses need to have covered relevant areas.
3. The students passing out from the national/state boards or CBSE/ICSE have to produce migration certificate within a maximum of 2 months from the date of admission.
4. According to the rules set by the government, reserved category students, SC/ST/OBC will be provided some leeway on the cut-off percentage.
5. International students must enclose a certificate of equivalence from the AIU department along with their English test scores (IELTS/TOEFL).
6. All the students need to qualify the entrance test conducted for the program along with the personal interview round of the college.
