The Bhawanipur Education Society College Kolkata has a variety of courses available for the students and they are available in arts, science, and commerce stream as undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The students seeking admission for BA in Bengali, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Sanskrit have to pass higher secondary in any stream. For BSc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronics, Statistics, Geography, and Physiology, the admission requirements include passing the higher secondary examination in the science stream with the required subjects. For BCom in Accountancy, Finance, Marketing, HR, aspirants need to clear higher secondary exam in any group. The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program is open to all students of any discipline of the university. Each course accepts score of board exam and WBJEE, JEE Main, CLAT and other national level exams as well. The college is equipped with undergraduate and post graduate courses in faculties of arts, science commerce and management.
The Bhawanipur Education Society College Admission Kolkata also offers two modes of application which are the online application mode and the offline application mode. Students willing to enroll themselves for under graduate or post graduate degree can either directly apply online through the website of the college available at www.thebges.edu.in or can personally visit the administrative section of the college.
For online admission the candidates require Internet connection and they should go to the college website and click on Admission tab and the candidates have to create their login ID and password. Then they have to go through the admission application form which they have to complete online as per the rules written on the web page. Upload the necessary documents including certificates, identification card, and a passport sized photograph. Once the form is submitted, the form will make acknowledgement through a mail sent to the applicant. Application fees can be made online through the use of credit/debit card, net banking, or through the use of unified payment interface.

There are various undergraduate courses offered at the Bhawanipur Education Society College Kolkata in arts, science, as well as commerce streams. The eligibility criteria is a little different for different departments. For general category, the students need to pass the higher secondary examination in the respective subject with 45% marks for BA in Bengali, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sanskrt respectively. The approved qualifying examinations are HS, ISC, CBSE and diploma/Certificate course equivalent to standard 12. The admission requirement for the BSc program in Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, Physiology, and Zoology implies that the students should have passed their 12th standard examination with minimum 45% marks for general category. These are HS, ISC and CBSE for science stream only For science stream only As per the stream, the board exams accepted are HS, ISC, CBSE and so on. The BCom program is similar to eligibility where candidate must pass 12th commerce stream through HS, ISC or CBSE with 45 %. The primary Admission UG programs, based on arts, science, and commerce are BA in several subjects, BSc in several science disciplines, and BCom in commerce.
