VCOE Warangal B.Tech Selection Criteria

- There are no direct admissions; as it is a government college, admissions are given based on the performance of the candidate in the EAMCET (Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Telangana State government. This is the major entrance test adopted.

- Specific category students as SC/ST/OBC may get seat as per state rules and regulation and hence the cut off standard could be comparatively low.

- Other parameters depending on the purpose of selection may include marks obtained in intermediate (10+2) for instance, in case the preparation of merit list is being processed.

- Whenever there is tie in ranks in EAMCET exam, Weightage of the marks obtained in the intermediate examination is considered. If still tied, an older person is considered for a job if he/she has similar qualifications as the younger contender.

- Some branches may have preferences/cutoffs which are dependent on the candidates EAMCET rank. For branches like computer science that are in high demand for jobs cutoffs are higher as compared to other branches.
