Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology known as Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology is a private autonomous institute situated in Hyderabad, Telangana. VNR VJIET was established in the year 1995, which is approved by AICTE & affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad. It has acquired NAAC ‘A’ grade certification which proves its standard education system. NIRF rankings 2023 of VNRVJIET were recently declared and according to the rankings the institute was listed at 91 among all engineering colleges in India.
Undergraduate courses at VNRVJIET include Electrical & Electronics Engineering; Civil Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Electronics & Communication Engineering; Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology besides postgraduate courses. There are two main examination seasons, one in October-November and the other in April-May every year when semester examinations are conducted. 1. BTech – 12th passed in any stream with 60% marks in PCM, qualified in EAMCET exam, age limit 18-22 years.
2. MTech – BTech/BE degree in the relevant branch with 60% marks and the candidate must have qualified in the GATE/ PGCET exam.
3. MCA – Any UG degree but maths should have been studied at 10+2 level, 50% marks in aggregate.
4. MBA – Any Graduation with 50% marks, appeared for ICET/CAT/XAT/MAT exam, relevant experience desirable
5. Doctor of Philosophy or PhD - A post graduation degree or equivalent in respective subject area, valid score in written test, proposal for research essential.
6. Lateral entry – A candidate possessing diploma in engineering securing minimum 60% marks can directly take admission in 2nd year of the course for BTech.
VNRVJIET presents the BTech degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. It also imparts MTech degrees in different specializations in computer science, electronics, telecommunications, power system, thermal engineering, CAD CAM, structures and construction management. Moreover, the VNR Vignana Jnanapeeth established MCA and MBA programs.
