Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Astrology) is an Undergraduate Astrology course of three academic years/ six semesters. This program offers extensive information about planets, zodiacs, horoscope, horoscope reading, interpretation methods, and Vedic Astrology history and basic principles. Students are trained on basic astrology skills including charting of birth, chart interpretation and the determination of trends and movements of stars. There are some institutes which provide BA Astrology with basic knowledge of allied sciences such as Palmistry, Tarot Reading, and Vastu.
Some of the entrance examination through which a candidate can get an admission in B.A. (Astrology) are AIEED, followed by counseling, OJEE, University conducted exams and qualifying 12th standard examination from a recognized board. Some of the colleges offering this program also conduct personal interviews to test the candidate’s basic ideas about astrology.

1. 10+2 pass in any stream (Science, Commerce, Arts) from a recognized board with minimum 50% (45% for reserved categories) marks.
2. The subject of astrology is optional even in 10+2 courses. People with any sort of background from any fields can join this course.
3. None of them has an age limit. It is open to both the fresh pass outs and the second and subsequent years candidates.
4. English language proficiency is preferred as all the study materials will be in English. Interpretation skills: Candidates knowledgeable in regional languages will be preferred.
5. Internet and e-mail literacy are required for searching for information and also for documentation and presentation.
6. Intuition, imagination, analytical skills coupled with the ability to communicate are assets which make it easy to understand cosmic forces and make forecasts.
