The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Defence and Strategic Studies is a degree program aimed at understanding defence policies, national security, strategic studies, military action, espionage, amongst other things. This 3-year long course offers, inter-disciplinary approach towards defence and security phenomena with subjects covering military science, international relations, political science, public policy.
The entrance exams accepted for admission to BA (Defence and Strategic Studies) program are: UGAT – University General Admission Test conducted by various universities, CUET – Common University Entrance Test which is a national level test, Defence Forces examinations like NDA, CDS, CUCET – Central Universities Common Entrance Test for Central Universities. BA Defence and Strategic Studies Course Eligibility 2024
1. Any 10+2 passed in any stream from a recognized board with minimum 50% in aggregate.
2. Should have passed English as one of the subjects in 10+2 exams readily or as a vocational subject in case any.
3. No upper age limit or multiple chances allowed in 10+2.
4. This 3 year full-time undergraduate program is also open for application to both girls and boys.
5. Even if the candidate wants to take the qualifying exam and wishes to apply for admission, you can also apply for the same in a provisional basis with an intention of submitting the required documents later.
6. Physical fitness is another criterion because when the candidates are selected, some of them may be subjected to a medical examination before they are admitted.
