B.Com (Accountancy) is one of the most sought after 3-year undergraduate degree program which deals with accountancy, finance, taxation, auditing and other related fields. The programme offers the students, theoretical and practical lessons on different areas of accounting that prepares them for the job market in areas such as auditing, taxation, corporate accounting, investment bankers, financial analysts among others. This programme takes 3 years, with 6 semesters of study.
The entrance tests accepted for B.Com (Accountancy) are SET/SLAT/SITEEE conducted by Symbiosis University, NPAT by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, CUET conducted by various universities of Delhi/Other states, exam through respective university level authorities or examination and direct admission through 12th standard marks. Schedules of important examinations differ from university or institute to another but most of the big exams are conducted in the period of April and July while counselling and admission are done in the period of June and September.

1. The candidates should have passed 10+2 examination or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Central or State Board of Education with 50% aggregate marks.

3. There are variants to this where some universities set their own examination for students seeking to join their institutions.

5. Laxity/concession in the prescribed standard is allowed based on government norms for SC & ST candidates.
6. In addition to the basic admission requirements, certain universities may require certain subjects, cut-off marks in the entrance test etc.
1. CAT: Exam: A test of aptitude known as Common Admission Test that is conducted by IIMs to shortlist candidates for management programs in fields such as finance and accounting.
2. CPT: Common Proficiency Test conducted by ICAI to assess basic knowledge of accounting, mercantile laws, economics and elementary calculations for members to get enrolled for CA course.
3. CSAT: Aptitude test conducted by ICSI to assess the candidate in reasoning, general English and comprehension, quantitative ability, basic business and accountancy for admission to CS programme.
4. BBA CET: The BBA Common Entrance Test assesses the applicants’ verbal ability, quantitative ability and reasoning ability as the test is necessary to gain admission in BBA courses in colleges including those which offer specialization in accounting and finance.
