Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) is offered in accounting and finance which is a four-year undergraduate programme that offers specialization in accountancy, business economics, financial management, taxation, and auditing in addition to other topics relating to the subject. This 3-year long course provides the students with the skills and knowledge to perform at the required level for accounting and finance functions in various business sectors. The course program structure, is more or less core commerce subjects together with papers in the field of financial accounting, cost accounting, corporate accounting, management accounting, corporate finance etc.
CAT, MAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT, ATMA and the various state CETs are the exams that universities and institutes for admission into the B.Com (Accounting and Finance) program are acceptable. The application process is in progress from January to May through both online and offline modes. Selected candidates then have to undergo group discussions and personal interviews by the different institutes/colleges to get a final admission. Institutes also make their cut-offs public by June and admission for academic sessions are also by August at the latest.

2. Commerce students: Accounts, economics, mathematics at 10+2 level should have been passed.

5. The admitted students should not be less than 17-19 years old at the time of admission.

1. CAT: IIMs entrance test held by IIMs to assess candidates for management programmes and finance. Verbal ability test with quanta and data interpretations / logical reasoning test.
2. CMAT: There is no similar examination for candidates like Common Management Admission Test which evaluates candidates on quantitative techniques, logical reasoning and general awareness and language comprehension.
3. IPMAT: Developed by IIM Indore to filter applicants for admissions in the IPM program. It is a test of verbal skills and general knowledge as well as computer skills and quantitative skills.
4. NPAT: NMIMS CET: NMIMS Common Entrance Test offers quantitative ability, data interpretation, verbal ability test for admission.
5. UPSEE: UPSEE also provides admission to finance courses in the institutes under AKTU based on merit list prepared by the Entrance examination.
