Applied Economics is one of the Bachelor of Commerce Programs that is designed to offer knowledge to students on economics theories and how they work in the business world. It normally takes 3 years to complete and students are offered topics such as microeconomic, macromolecules, econometric, mathematical economic, public finance, money and financial markets among others.
The following entrance examinations are considered for B.Com Applied Economics across colleges: AUAT, CUET, state CETs, some institutional level tests etc. The exam notifications are mostly released during December and January while the exams are held in April and May. After declaration of the result in the month of June-July, counselling and admission session held in the month of July-August. They are typically by the latest beginning of the first week of September once admissions are complete. These dates may differ based on the standards set by the concerned university.

1. The candidate must have passed 10+2 or any other equivalent examination from a recognized board having a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
2. Mathematics is also one of the main subjects taught in the 10+2 curriculum and is mandatory for some universities.
3. There are some universities that have certain age limits like below 21 years or below 23 years and so on.
4. IELTS/TOEFL like scores may be needed depending on the university you wish to attend or the course you intend to take.
5. Entrance exams are also common for admission in universities as some of them conduct their own exams.
6. Sometimes work experience in some related fields may be given some weightage or may be made mandatory in certain institute.

2. CUCET – Central Universities Common Entrance Test: It is an entrance test that can be taken for any of the central universities in India for admission to any course including those in economics.
3. UPSEE – Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination Test is another examination that allows students to get into colleges of Uttar Pradesh including B.Com economics.
4. IPU CET – Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test for students seeking admissions in colleges in Delhi region for the courses such as B.Com economics
5. BHU UET stands for Banaras Hindu University Undergraduate Entrance Test which will be conducted for getting admissions in various undergraduate programs offered at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
