B.Com (Taxation and Finance) is a 3-year undergraduate degree program which mainly deals with taxation and finance, accounting, economic, and business laws. This specialized course imparts students with an in-depth understanding of the different aspects of taxation, auditing, finance, capital markets, and more. The B.Com (Taxation and Finance) course structure is spread across three years and is further divided into six semesters. Apart from the core commerce courses, the college offers elective courses on taxation and finance like Goods and Services Tax, Income Tax, Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax Laws, Security Analysis, International Finance etc. 

Based on the above said entrance examinations the candidate can get an admission to B.Com (Taxation and Finance) course in the various colleges and universities of Gujarat such as GUJCET, GATE, CMAT, CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA and so on. It is usually carried in January every year and ends June for the new academic year July- June. The exams are normally taken between April and July of the year. Results are released by end of August. BCom Taxation and Finance Course Eligibility 2024

1. Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or any other recognized examination from any recognized board with at least 50% marks. 

2. Mathematics or Business Mathematics is one of the compulsory subjects that students have to take up in 10+2 in many institutions.

3. Some of the colleges, have made it mandatory for the candidates to appear for the entrance exam such as SET/CUET for their admission.

4. Regarding the age limits the minimum age requirement is 17 years and the maximum age range vary from 20-22 years in colleges.

5. A few of the colleges provide additional concession for reserved category students by bringing down the percentage norms.

6. Some organization do not take into account the marks scored in class 10th along with the marks scored in 12th while preparing merit list.

1. CAT – Common Admission Test is conducted by IIMs to shortlist aspirants for management courses including finance. 

2. CMAT: Common Management Admission Test – An examination conducted by the AICTE for admission into management and financial courses.  

3. NPAT – The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies conducts this admission test for the finance and accounting courses offered by this institute.

4. IPMAT-IIM Indore entrance exam for admission to integrated program in management including of finance and accounting.

5. GMAT: Graduate Management Admission Test is popular test required for MBA and master’s degrees in finance for international students.

BCom Taxation and Finance Admission 2024

1. Any person who has passed 12th standard in commerce stream is eligible to pursue the course provided he or she meets the marks criteria.

2. See the general qualifying requirements set by colleges for the program in terms of academic performance and examinations. 

3. Filter down the colleges approved by the statutory bodies offering the program by factors such as ranking, fees structure, geographical location among others.

4. Send your application forms and copies of the documents on or before the application deadline to the shortlisted colleges.

5. Appeal for an entrance test if possible and other interviews conducted by the various colleges  

6. This is whereby the candidate receive the final admission confirmation from the college after making the admission fees and other enrolling formalities.
