Fashion Clothing Design is one of the specialisations of the design stream offered under the Bachelor of Design (abbreviated B.Des) program at the undergraduate level. This course is a four-year full-time program that entails studies in fashion industry and fashion designing education that comprises of various aspects such as visual communication, fabrics as well as materials, trends and markets and mastering the designing techniques that include tools such as pattern-making, draping, sewing as well as CAD software.

1. Minimum qualification 10+2 passed in any stream – Science, Commerce, Arts, with 50% marks in aggregate.
2. Minimum 45% marks are required in 10+2 for SC/ST candidates for admission purpose.
3. The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board of education in India.
4. A few institutes have their own written tests that are required to be cleared for admission, apart from group interviews and portfolio presentations.
