The degrees are Bachelor of Design or B.Des if the program is being offered in design studies. Fashion Technology in Fashion Technology is an undergraduate design course normally requires 4 years of study. This course provides an overview of various subject areas in fashion and apparel industry including pattern making, draping, fashion illustration, computer aided designing, apparel production, fashion styling. Conceptualization, designing, planning and implementation of different category of apparels form part of knowledge that a student acquires.
The entrance examinations accepted for Bachelor of Design in Fashion Technology are as follows: National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance test, National level test for Admission in Architecture (NATA), Design Aptitude test by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPESDAT), All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED) conducted by INIFD, and national or state level design tests.

1. A candidate should have passed in 10+2 examination in any stream that is Science, commerce or Arts with a minimum of fifty percent marks in aggregate.
