Bachelor of design [B. Des] IN Space Deisgn level program which has an academic aim to develop design skills in designing spatial environments. Some of the areas in which the students are equipped with skills and knowledge through this four-year full time program include principles of design, design processes, human factors, technical skills, visual communication, etc. in reference to spatial design of diverse environments. It enables students to design spaces with proper input of user requirements, beauty and utility etc.
The entrance exams eligible for admission to B.Des Space Design are NEAT test conducted by UCEED for NID, NIFT, some of the IITs and CEED, for some of the best private design colleges. Some of the other exams considered by various b-schools are NATA conducted by CoA, UGAT conducted by AIU, DAT by NIFT and CET carried out by respective state governments though variations can exist depending on the institute.

1. The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent with minimum 50% of marks in aggregate.
2. Students should have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in their 10+2 examination.
3. The candidates too required passing Design aptitude tests prescribed by the concerned colleges or NIFT.
4. Certain institutions may call candidates for interviews after they have sat for an aptitude test.
5. In some of the design colleges, the students are supposed to submit their portfolio containing their creative works.
6. None, but some of the colleges have the age requisites where the student has to be of at least 17 years of age as on the date of admission.
