Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is an undergraduate professional study programme of 4.5 years duration in the field of physiotherapy. The course is designed to equip the students with the relevant skills and knowledge that are essential in assessing and managing patients with physical disorders and ailments that may involve muscle, nerves, and bones. Of these, some of the fields that a student will have the opportunity to focus on include physiologic restoration, human anatomy, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy methods.
The entrance exam that is accepted for BPT across universities in India include NEET UG, UGAT BPT, JET BPT, and IP University CET BPT. Most of the colleges takes students for their NEET UG merit but few colleges namely Delhi University, MG University Kerala. have their own state / university level entrance exams for BPT course. On the whole NEET UG continues to act as the unified test accepted by all medical and physiotherapy colleges across the country.

1. Minimum 50% marks in the aggregate in the 10+2 or equivalent examination and passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English.
2. He or she must be 17 years of age at the time of admission or will turn 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
3. Those who have qualified the entrance examination such as NEET or any other entrance examination conducted at state level for BPT course.
4. In addition to the above criteria few institutes have extra requirements like interview, fitness etc., which is mandatory for the candidates.
5. SC/ST/OBC candidates get 5% marks less in 10+2 examination for their minimum eligibility percentage.
6. Open competition candidates, who want to appear for the 10+2 exam can also apply provided that they attach their mark sheet before a given date.
