Animation and Graphic Designing is an undergraduate programme leading to the award of the Bachelor of Science in Animation and Graphic Designing degree which is anchored on animation, graphic designing, visual effects among other related disciplines. The program is intended to equip the students with both theoretical and practical knowledge required in their careers in the media and design fields. But in most cases the Animation and Graphic Designing course takes 3 years and is spread over 6 semesters.
The following are the main entrance tests which are highly recognized for admission to the B.Sc. At college level, there are tests which are at national level such as UCEED, NID DAT, CEED, or at state or Institute level for the purpose of measuring creative ability of the candidate. These design entrance tests are also considered by many colleges along with class 12 marks and personal interview for final admission by many colleges.

1. Students should have passed 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognized university or board and should have secured minimum 50% marks aggregate.
2. But for the reserved category students, 45 % in 10+2 is mandatory.
3. English can be one of the subjects at the 10+2 level of study.
4. The candidates who want to pursue a course in nursing can also apply the form for the examination if the candidate has passed their 10+2 exam.
5. Of the different colleges, some conduct entrance tests for the admission of the students.
6. There are certain institutes where portfolio of creative work is something that is mandatory.
1. UCEED: UCEN for Design assesses drawing skills, creativity, and aptitude in communications among under graduate students.
2. NID: NID Entrance Exam also requires the candidate to go through a design aptitude test for measuring creativity and observation.
3. CEED: IITs have recently conducted test called Common Entrance Exam for Design that evaluates candidate’s abilities in drawing, creativity, colour sense, design thinking.
4. MITID DAT: MIT Institute of Design DAT test critical thinking, spatial visualization, and communication skills in the form of multiple choice questions.
5. UPSEE: The Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination also known as UPSEE also provides admission to the B.Sc Animation and Graphic Designing programs.
