Fashion and Apparel/Clothing Design is commonly pursued at the undergraduate level in the form of Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] degree programme. Some courses that are taught in this field include garment construction, pattern making, draping, fashion illustration, textiles, history and aesthetics of costumes, CAD for apparel designing, apparel production management. The B.Sc Fashion Design course duration three years and is split into six semesters.
The entrance exams that are accepted to get through the B.Sc Fashion Design course in most of the influential colleges are – NIFT, NID, CEED, NATA, state or university level exams like UPSEE, WBJEE, OJEE, AMU, BHU. Some of the colleges or universities may also take into consideration the percentage scored in class 12th for the admission process.
