Interior Designing is an Undergraduate program which is related to the field of designing and the Bachelor of Science specializing in Interior Designing takes three years in India. Some of the subjects included in the course are elements of design, space planning, computer-aided design (CAD), building material and finishes, interior lighting, illustrations, and architectural graphics.
For the admission criteria, Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design has got several entrance exams. The two leading B.Sc entrance tests in India are the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) and Undergraduate Aptitude Test for CEED (UGAT). Interior Design admissions. 1. Recognized pass in 10+2 in any stream (Science/Commerce/Arts) with minimum 50% for all the stream aggregate.
2. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category need to have minimum 45% marks in their 10+2 examination.
3. English is also compulsory one of the subjects in 10+2 for some colleges.
4. While, some of the colleges also have their own entrance tests through which they admit the students.
5. Writing skills may be assessed using portfolio or aptitude test that aims at determining one’s creative and artistic ability.
